The crash occurred at 12:20 p.m. on Monday at 1014 Main St., Asbury Park police said.
No one was hurt.
The driver was trapped in the car, but safely rescued by first responders.
The man was issued a summons for careless driving, police said. His name was not released.
Monnier Lavarin, an owner at ML Driving School, told the Asbury Park Press that the driver had no connection to the school.
The driver was attempting to parallel park, but backed up onto the curb and then into the front of ML Driving School, police said in a statement on Friday.
